Renown Oracle Belline card meaning

Renown, printed as La Renommée, is card 43 of 53 in the Oracle Belline, in the Jupiter series. Renown is about how far your name travels. It asks what you want to be known for and how your actions build that reputation.

Context and symbolism

What Renown is about

Renown is a Jupiter card showing a long trumpet, the kind used for royal announcements, alongside a flag with a pennant. Trumpets get heard. In the Belline, this card is about reputation, visibility and having a public voice. Jupiter likes things to be big and seen, so this is the card of being known for something. Trumpets were also used to call people together, so renown here can be about rallying others to a good cause.

In everyday life

In real life, Renown asks how you're showing up in the world and what you'd like to be known for. It might be at work, online or in your community. It's not about fame. It's about letting your good work and your values be visible, and speaking up when it matters. Being visible can feel exposing, especially if you're naturally private. You don't have to shout. Even small steps, like putting your name on your work or speaking up once in a meeting, add up over time. Your voice is worth hearing.

  • 43. Renown

Maybe you've done a brilliant bit of work that nobody knows about. Sharing a short update with your team lets people see what you're capable of.

  • 43. Renown

Or you've got opinions about something in your local area but always stay quiet. Going to one community meeting or writing one message could let your voice count.

Love, work and money

Renown in the main areas of life

In love and relationships

In love, Renown is about visibility and how your relationship looks from the outside. It asks whether you care too much about appearances. For example, if you post happy photos while feeling unhappy, it might be time to focus on how things really are between you, rather than how they look.

At work and in study

At work, Renown points to reputation and having a public voice. Say you've been asked to speak at an event. This card encourages you to say yes, prepare well, and share what you know. It also asks whether your reputation reflects the work you're actually proud of.

With money and resources

With money, Renown can point to income from visibility: a following, a public role, word of mouth. For example, if you run a small business, ask happy customers for reviews. It also asks whether you spend to keep up appearances. Reputation built on real value lasts longer.

I read Belline cards with the picture the right way up, rather than assigning a second meaning when a card is upside down. I consider its name, planetary group and any neighbouring cards together when explaining a reading.

Things to try today

  • Share one piece of your work, or one idea, with a wider audience than usual.
  • Write a sentence describing what you'd like to be known for.
  • Check that your online presence, if you have one, reflects who you actually are.

What do I want to be known for, and did today's actions move me toward it?
